Welcome to our music page! In the near future, we will have music for you to download and CDs to purchase.
In the meantime, we are working on new material. Our new favorites? What we call "scary grass" -- Bluegrass favorites that are inevitably sad, about loss, broken hearts, and wasted love. These songs, many based on Celtic ballads, were the early American version of soap operas, passed around by traveling musicians in the hills and hollers of Appalachia that eventually made their way to mainstream music. These songs provided a sad tale--and sometimes a moral lesson. They evoke feelings in the singer and the listener both.
Our Music Now, we are not real Bluegrass folks (we can't play that fast) but
love bluegrass, folk, and old time music with our own spin on things.
Our CD is complete! We have 12 songs on the final CD--"Back to Our Roots" where we combined both our influences, including Indiana bluegrass (think Bill Monroe and Ralph Stanley), some gospel, 60's protest folk, and traditional old time music.
